The 葉隠 (Hagakure : Hidden by the Leaves, also known as The Book of the Samurai) is a book written by 山本常朝 (Yamamoto Tsunetomo). Yamamoto was a retainer of the of the Daimyō 鍋島 光茂 (Nabeshima Mitsushige) who passed away in 1700.
